Clinton is a story-teller and solutions-based thinker, with decades of experience in Brand, Reputation and Strategic Communications. He specialises in issues management and reputation recovery, brand building and activation.
Building brand equity, being ‘game-ready’ to manage crisis, and exploring reputational strengths and weaknesses are all core programs in Clinton’s practice; where leaders understand being crisis-ready is an investment in protecting their major asset, their brand’s reputation.
As a senior executive in sport, Clinton managed high-level relations with Government, NGOs, sponsors, stadiums, and consumers. He has navigated the media narrative on countless issues, and remains a trusted advisor to leaders across business, politics and sport.
Completing a Bachelor Arts (Media & Communications), Clinton spent a decade in broadcast television in both Australia and the UK, before forging a decade-long career in sports administration as a senior executive across multiple AFL Clubs. Clinton is credited with creating Australia’s first club-based online sports TV Network, CollingwoodTV, as well as managing the growth of Australia’s biggest sports website, AFL.com.au. Clinton has run point on some of Australia’s biggest sporting stories – and now advises athletes, public personalities, leaders, and corporations on how to strategically navigate crisis, brand recovery and issues management.
In 2015, Clinton and his family relocated from Melbourne to The Northern Rivers NSW, (Byron Bay), to join a thriving community, where he joined several Boards, whilst establishing the Work Well Group PTY LTD of companies, under which his wife, award winning author, Stephanie Bown, and he, operate.
